Welcome to Lee Mount Academy. I am delighted to be able to take up the role of Headteacher.
Our academy is a vibrant, diverse and welcoming community, which we want to be an outstanding place to learn but also work – where hearts and minds connect. The children of Lee Mount Academy and the whole Lee Mount community deserve the absolute best and I will do everything in my power to deliver that. I want to help create a school, working closely with our amazing staff team and other community leaders, that your children are desperate to attend – a place they feel safe and happy, excited and enthralled. A school they can proudly call their own! I am passionate about giving children opportunities to succeed in not just the core subjects but more widely; drama, music, art and sport for example. We are a “CAN DO” school. Our aim is to build Confidence, have high Aspirations, Nurture each other, Develop knowledge & skills and provide Opportunities.
As educators building an exciting, creative and meaningful curriculum, which equips learners for all stages of their education and beyond, is central to our vision here at Lee Mount. We believe that children should be skilled, confident and articulate as they leave the academy. We teach this through insisting on the ‘4R’s’ (Respect, Resilience, Responsibility and Reflection) in all that we do.

Our vision is to ensure that learning is engaging, active and fun. We want children to love school, be happy and healthy. Central to the vision are the Impact values and we teach children to understand why having high aspirations are important. We are a ‘Can do school’ where hearts and minds connect.
Our Aims
To ensure that the achievement, personal development, and well-being of children is the primary concern of all. we do this through our values of CAN DO.
- Confidence – to ensure that children have opportunities to build confidence in their speaking but also in their learning.
- Aspirations – to give children high aspirations and confidence that they can achieve.
- Nurture – to demonstrate nurture and kindness for all.
- Develop knowledge and skills – carefully sequenced plans develop knowledge and skills from EYFS to Year 6.
- Opportunities – to provide opportunities for children to excel in a range of activities and an opportunity to take their place in their community in which they live.
Our Values
To achieve the highest possible educational outcomes and to ensure that all children develop a love of reading which carries them into adulthood.
To develop the power of language, we want confident, articulate young people who can express themselves with ease.
To instil a simple behaviour strategy which creates visible consistencies and underpins daily life at Lee Mount Academy. A behaviour system built around the following ‘Can do’ approach:

To aim high by raising aspirations to be the very best that we can be. Challenging ourselves to believe and achieve across a wide range of activities.
